Many of you know from my previous posts that I LOVE to produce my own food. I delight in a measure of control (I can plant organically, sustainably, and *very* locally) as well as the joy of going out to the garden to pick fistfuls of green beans, bowls of ripe, sun-warmed tomatoes, and sprigs of fresh herbs that make my meals amazing.
While most of the US is currently covered in frost or piles of snow, I live in the Bay Area of California. For those of you that haven’t been here, that’s code for “The Best Place on Planet Earth.” So, while everyone else is spending their time plowing snow, I’m getting ready to start my garden!
My husband built me an awesome plant light contraption in the garage so that I’m not tracking seedlings and dirt all over the house this year. Here’s a photo of our garden tale, part 1.
There’s not much to see yet, but just give them a few weeks! They’ll surprise you yet!

Your set up makes me want to invest in a plant light system too!
