turkey for blog

By now your food has settled and some of your leftovers are gone or frozen or farmed out to your guests. As you look back on this feeding frenzy, what was your favorite thing served at your Thanksgiving meal? Turkey? A side dish? Dessert? The wine? Or maybe your family has some unusual culinary traditions that you just love? Either way, tell readers at Dishing the Divine about that tasty part of your day that you just loved by leaving a comment below! And if you have a favorite holiday recipe that you’d love to see appear on the blog in time for Christmas dinner, email it to me at paula @ dishingthedivine.com.

Oh, and my favorite part of my THREE Thanksgiving dinners was… gosh… so hard to choose. I think I have to pick one thing from each meal. :) My first dinner was Wednesday, and my favorite part of that was the chocolate creme pie for dessert. I will need to get my hands on that recipe for sure! My next dinner was on Thursday, and the best part of that meal was the green bean casserole (I used a new recipe on the back of the Trader Joe’s French Fried Onions can – it was FAR better than a standard green bean casserole). And my third Thanksgiving dinner was on Friday, with my hubby’s family, and my favorite part of that meal was Slow Cooker Stuffing, which I adapted from allrecipes.com. I’m a texture person, and the texture of this was WAY better than the usual gooey mess that is served at Thanksgiving!

Your turn! What did you just love!?

Ditto on Trader Joe’s green bean casserole.

Paula – I cannot believe you didn’t rave about my pumpkin pie! :)

Well, we’re about to have a post thanksgiving neighborhood potluck, so I’ll be interested to see what people bring! Bret has a cornbread sausage dressing in the oven and I have a feeling that might be my favorite thing!
