strawberry huller

It’s strawberry season where I live and I’ve already spent a small fortune on flats of strawberries to use in strawberry eclairs, strawberry jam, and strawberry rhubarb pie. I have a friend who used to be a Pampered Chef seller and last year at her garage sale I picked up a strawberry huller. I wasn’t sure if I’d ever use it, but I’m a sucker for kitchen gadgets so this was a “must have” for my kitchen. This year, after processing loads of strawberries for all these fun desserts, I now know why they invented these things. I can easily hull buckets of strawberries in no time flat! I haven’t been able to find this exact huller on-line, but check around at all the various options Amazon has! Or, if you know someone that sells Pampered Chef, ask them to order one for you!

“in no time flat” haha. Pun intended?! :)

I picked up on the same “in no time flat” pun. :)

Send some strawberry desserts this way – as you know, your dad is a sucker for fruit treats. The cheesecake with blueberries that you gave us a few days ago is a distant memory

    You made eclairs?!
How about a cherry pitter? Seems like another gadget that would be super useful – for 4 weeks a year.

Strawberry hullers are also great for taking the tops of tomatoes and de-coring apples (cut it in half and use the huller to talk out the part with the seeds). I LOVE mine. :)

Hi there, Paula! Jes was just telling me about this wonderful foodie blog of yours ;)
Yes, I love the strawberry huller. Of course we use it for a ton of tomatoes at The New Deli, but it’s great on strawberries too, hey? (I’ve used it to get that funky root/core out of onions too…)
    Have a blessed day!
